Migrate from eZee Absolute to Cloudbeds

eZee Absolute to Cloudbeds is a common migration for emerging-market properties scaling into international guest mix and needing the broader integration ecosystem Cloudbeds offers.

Why migrate

Common motivations: international guest growth, deeper OTA direct connections, modern UX for international-tier staff, or shift away from the eZee POS bundling toward best-of-breed POS.

Timeline

6-8 weeks for a 50-room property.

What to migrate

  • Reservations, guest profiles, rate plans, room types, open folios, historical bookings, channel manager mappings, POS configuration (separate decision)

Common pitfalls and fixes

POS unbundling

eZee bundles POS; Cloudbeds does not. Property must decide whether to keep eZee POS (running alongside Cloudbeds PMS) or migrate to a third-party POS (Toast, Lightspeed, Square).

Regional channel coverage

eZee has strong coverage of regional OTAs in APAC, Middle East, and Africa. Validate that Cloudbeds Distribution covers the property's active regional channels before cutover.

Parallel-run pattern

1-2 weeks parallel read; cutover channel manager carefully if regional OTAs are dominant.

Post-migration validation

Validate regional OTA coverage and POS integration over the first month.

Editorial disclosure

This playbook is published by Maciej Dudziak, founder of Guestivo. Guestivo is guest-journey software (not a PMS) and is intentionally absent from PMS migration recommendations. Both PMSes named on this page are real cloud platforms operators evaluate; the migration framing is based on category mechanics, not publisher allegiance.
